Jessica joined UCS as a summer 2020 fellow for Midwest clean energy policy. Her research focused on assessing energy storage legislation across the United States. She also co-authored three blogs for UCS on recycling of clean energy technologies. For that she researched how lithium-ion batteries, solar PV panels, and wind turbine blades are currently being disposed of, what the challenges are around recycling them, and innovations or policies under way to manage a more circular economy for those products. After her fellowship Jessica joined UCS as a part-time consultant working on equitable energy storage policy as well as other clean energy policy projects.
