Matthew Beyer is an outreach coordinator for the Climate & Energy program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. In his role, he works with scientists, activists, and coalition partners to develop strategic campaigns aimed at advancing ambitious climate, clean energy, and clean transportation solutions in California, Oregon, and Washington. Prior to joining UCS, he was a student organizer for the Public Interest Research Group, where he worked on a legislative advocacy campaign to advance California’s transition to a cleaner, less-carbon intensive energy system. Matthew earned a BA in political science and environmental science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
