Jarasa Kanok is the chief of strategic planning, assessment, and learning for the Union of Concerned Scientists. In her role, she leads UCS’s strategic planning efforts and strengthens capabilities in measuring impact and organizational learning by optimizing structures, systems, and processes. She coordinates organizational planning processes and oversees a strategic data systems and insights team which helps UCS programs assess, learn from, and communicate the impact of UCS’s work.
Prior to joining UCS, Ms. Kanok was a senior manager and adaptive strategy lead at Monitor Institute by Deloitte. She has worked with foundations and nonprofits to elevate, champion, and advance their diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, leading projects that sparked cultural and organization growth.
Ms. Kanok earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, and an AB in English and premedical studies from Harvard University. She currently serves on the Board of ITPC Global a network of activists advocating for access to HIV treatment and other life-saving medications, and on the Board of Advisors for the Museum of Science in Boston.
