Charles K Young-Longdon is an Outreach Coordinator with the Clean Transportation program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. An organizer, storyteller, and community care worker, they have been active in the environmental justice movement in the Twin Cities since 2015, working on issues such as zero waste and recycling, land use, affordable housing, and anti-displacement.

Before joining the Union of Concerned Scientists, they served as the Community Engagement Manager for the Minnesota Environmental Justice Table & as the United States Representative for GAIA (Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives) Global Advisory Hub.

They are a passionate facilitator and practitioner of cultural organizing, using art to advance social justice dialogues. Throughout their career, they have made it their mission to work alongside those most directly affected by environmental injustice to pursue active solutions and transform systems.
