Athena Motavvef is a Senior Washington Representative for the Clean Transportation Program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. Prior to joining UCS, she spent six years on the policy and legislation team at Earthjustice, where she advocated for electrifying our transportation system to reduce air pollution and protect our climate. Before that, Athena served as the communications coordinator for WE ACT for Environmental Justice.
She received a BA in public policy from the University of California, Riverside and an MS in public policy and management from Carnegie Mellon University.
